on a bus, homeward bound

I sit on a seat that a thousand bodies have sat on
and there are no telltale signs of these people
no names or scuffs that mean anything
other than daily wear and tear

or maybe the wear and tear is our legacy
eroding things away into trails, divots, holes, curves
leaving human shaped sizes
in nature shaped places
